From October 2025 to May 2026, I led a series of ten online training sessions for journalists across the Asia-Pacific region as part of Terra Asia, an initiative of the French CFI Media Development Agency in partnership with the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD). Participants included journalists and public information officers from Indonesia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Malaysia, Mauritius, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The full series is now available on YouTube.
Designed as a hands-on programme for journalists covering the climate crisis and tackling disinformation, the 10-part Terra Asia eTraining series moves from artificial intelligence to fact-checking, visual verification, geolocation and open-source investigation.
The methods are relevant to anyone who needs to search for, verify or investigate online information, including educators, trainers, researchers, NGOs and communications professionals.
