Robert Bourgoing
I am a French and Canadian journalist living in Toulouse, in the south of France.
For the past 25 years, most of my professional activities have taken place in developing countries as well as in France and Switzerland.
I teach journalism in France and I spend a lot of time in Africa where I train media professionals in advanced fact-checking skills, open source intelligence techniques (OSINT), environmental and investigative journalism.
You will find on this site a general description of my training offer as it relates to major contemporary issues (climate crisis, fake news, conspiracy theories and online propaganda), tailor-made training programs, in English and in French, for all technical levels.

Flashbacks
This is my « inner search engine », flashbacks from my travels in over 90 countries through pictures, stories, singular anecdotes and encounters with men and women who have shaken my many assumptions on human nature and life.
Le Grand Raid (“The Great Rallye”)
This is the fabulous adventure that led me to journalism, a dream shared with millions of francophone TV viewers, a world round car rallye & international contest to produce 30 documentary films in 21 African, Asian and American countries.
